This assortment of willow charcoal half-length sticks is ideal for those starting out in charcoal drawing to experiment with different thicknesses. The box contains 30 short sticks of willow charcoal, including a mixture of thin, medium and thick sticks. Measurements vary between 3 and 12mm. Charcoal is a natural product so measurements can vary. 

This charcoal is of high-quality, made from willows grown in Somerset by the Coates brand. Willow charcoal produces a very soft, deep black colour ideal for outlines and shading. It can be used on its own or with paint or pastels.
