These thin willow charcoal sticks are ideal for fine, detailed drawing. The box contains 25 sticks of thin willow charcoal, each measuring approximately 2-3mm in diameter. This is a natural product so measurements can vary.

This charcoal is of high-quality, made from willows grown in Somerset by the Coates brand. They are taken from the top of the willow rod where the wood is thinnest. Willow charcoal produces a very soft, deep black colour ideal for outlines and shading. It can be used on its own or with paint or pastels.
